Great post on Overthinking and Learning - Worth the read!
“Overthinking keeps you busy, but takes you no where.”
Not everything will always work out the way we want it to. Unfortunately, that is part of this incredible journey called life. And even though I know that, it doesn’t stop me from overthinking about what more I could have done to prevent the “not working out” part. Even if I am not the cause of it not working out.
Spending time thinking about what more I could have done can be a useful exercise at first. Learning from failures is important. But hanging on them stops us from growing, from moving forward.
So this week, if you feel yourself getting stuck, take a moment. Close your eyes. Feel your feet on the floor. Take a few deep breaths. Tell yourself that you are not your failures, that you can learn from them and then grow to find everything you’ve been looking for.
